Jonathan Neale is a historian and professional writer. His most recent books are Fight the Fire: Green New Deals and Global Climate Jobs (The Ecologist, 2021) and, with Nancy Lindisfarne, Why Men? A Human History of Violence and Inequality. He has just returned (in Feb. 2024) from a week in Afghanistan at the International Conference on Climate in Jalalabad, where he did anthropological fieldwork 51 years ago.
